Partnership with AA puts chemical sciences company on track for national and international growth
An East Lothian chemical sciences company is set for growth after announcing a new partnership with the AA - its first significant breakthrough into the vehicle maintenance and repair market in the UK.
The company is also planning for international growth following new partner distribution agreements in export markets including the USA, China and Australia.
Dunbar-based XCP™ Corrosion Technologies, a trading division of Marott Graphic Services, decided 18 months ago to diversify its business into the vehicle maintenance and repair market for its XCP™ Professional range.
Following extensive testing by the AA of the XCP™ ONE™ product, a high performance multipurpose spray, they equipped their patrol vehicles and have given it their endorsement.
XCP™ Corrosion Technologies managing director, Scott Sutherland, sees this as a significant step in the company’s diversification plans. He said: “We are very confident in the performance of our products but it is always nice to have this ratified by users such as the AA, who use this type of product every day.
“It’s a great endorsement for the quality and high performance levels of the product and is a key building block in growing the brand and expanding the business both in the UK and in Europe.
“As a result of this success, we have made our first significant breakthrough into the vehicle maintenance market with a listing of the full range in Unipart Automotive, the UK’s largest motor factor.”
