Improving business infrastructure

We want Scotland to have a great business environment.

We invest in partnership infrastructure projects to help our key sectors grow faster and provide accommodation for companies and new inward investors. We focus on projects of national or regional importance which offer long-term returns for our economy.

Projects include:

Transport

We do not have statutory responsibility to build transport infrastructure, nor to operate transport services. The role we play is to strategically target services and infrastructure, often international, which will act as a catalyst for economic growth in the Scottish economy.

We aim to successfully influence the public and private sectors to build transport infrastructure and operate services that support growth in Scotland’s economy.  Our Transport team also play a key role in transport development and project delivery,
