Construction strategy

The Scottish Construction Industry Plan identifies strategic themes and priorities to be addressed in the industry over the next five years. The four strategic themes are:

  • Positioning
  • Procurement
  • People
  • Planet

The recommendations made resulted in the creation of the Scottish Construction Forum, the Scottish Construction Centre and the publication of the Scottish Government's ‘Building a Better Scotland - Infrastructure Investment Plan: Investing in the Future of Scotland’ in February 2005.
