The management team

Our senior management team, known as the Executive Board, is:

Jack Perry: Chief Executive

Jack Perry became Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise in February 2004. Before then he was the managing partner of Ernst & Young in Glasgow, and Regional Industry Leader for Scotland and Northern Ireland for Ernst & Young’s Technology and Communications practice.

A graduate scientist, Jack is also a Chartered Accountant and a United States Certified Public Accountant. In a career covering many professional disciplines and industries, he has also served as Chairman of CBI Scotland.

Lena Wilson: Chief Operating Officer

Lena Wilson is the Chief Operating Officer of Scottish Enterprise and the CEO of Scottish Development International, accountable for all regional, national and international service delivery. She is also responsible for all international operations, helping Scottish businesses expand into overseas markets and attracting new high value investment to Scotland.

She joined Scottish Enterprise in 1989 and has had responsibility for a number of areas within the organisation. Her career includes roles in more than 25 countries working on a range of private sector development projects.

John Phillips: MD, People and Organisation Development

John Phillips is the Managing Director for People and Organisation Development. His responsibilities include the Human Resources, Information Services (IS) and Corporate Services such as health and safety and facilities management.

Hugh Hall: Chief Financial Officer

Hugh Hall is Scottish Enterprise's Chief Financial Officer. Hugh has responsibility for all of Scottish Enterprise's finances and for ensuring that strategic financial management and value for money are at the heart of the business and its decision-making processes.

Hugh and his team work closely with the Scottish Government and other key stakeholders to ensure that public funding is invested to best effect to meet Scottish Enterprise's business objectives. Hugh has lead responsibility for the following corporate functions: Finance, Innovative Funding, Investments, Audit, Legal Services and Procurement.

Paul Lewis: MD, Industries and Policy

Paul Lewis is Scottish Enterprise’s Managing Director of Industries and Policy. Paul is responsible for setting clear measurable policy and priorities for Scottish Enterprise’s operational teams to deliver in response to the Scottish Government’s economic strategy and the demands of priority and growth industries. He has significant experience within Scottish Enterprise having undertaken roles in inward investment, urban regeneration and industries.
