Your application for our R&D Grant must include your project proposal. It is used as the main focus for assessment of the technical and commercial objectives and should identify:
- The nature of R&D being undertaken.
- The significant innovation being addressed.
- How the project will build R&D capacity.
- The R&D activity you will undertake without support.
- Whether the end result of the project can be exploited globally.
- Involvement of local supply chains or links to research or academia.
- The cost of the project for which grant is sought.
It must also:
- Be consistent with the requirements of the guidance notes.
- Not exceed ten pages in length.
- Distinguish clearly between information and figures relating to the R&D Grant project and the rest of the business, which should be incorporated in the business plan.
- Be written in clear terms so that the person responsible for appraising it can understand it.
- Provide sufficient technical details to enable an expert to carry out an assessment of the project. Where material such as drawings or flow diagrams would improve clarify they should be used. These and other supplementary information can be included as annexes.
