Report sets out ambitions to grow the television broadcast and production sector by 60% over next 3 years
Scotland’s Television Broadcast and Production Working Group today publish their report into how Scotland’s television sector can achieve significant growth over the next three years, increasing turnover from £215m to £346m and increasing employment from 2,910 to 4,676.

Edinburgh Festivals to go global with digital boost
Festivals Edinburgh, the strategic umbrella organisation that represents and works on behalf of Edinburgh’s twelve major festivals, has been awarded £300,000 from Creative Scotland’s National Lottery Fund to set up the Edinburgh Festivals Innovation Lab, a two year initiative to lead the digital development of Edinburgh’s Festivals.

Hydro Group welcomes First Minister to new £4.2 million facility

Scottish Investment Bank to provide loan funds to support business growth
First Minister Alex Salmond has announced plans to develop a new £50 million loan fund to help growing Scottish businesses. The fund is scheduled to be open for business by the end of 2010. It will provide loans from £250k to £2m and, exceptionally, more for longer established, viable firms already demonstrating significant growth and/or firms exporting a significant proportion of their output from Scotland.
