The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is the government agency which is responsible for ensuring that medicines and medical devices work, and are acceptably safe. They regulate a wide range of materials from medicines and medical devices to blood and therapeutic products and services that are derived from tissue engineering.
