University Technology has announced the launch of its new look website, making it easy for companies and investors from business and industry to find new technologies invented in Scotland's universities.
This unique initiative involving Scotland’s 13 research universities was created to improve business and industry engagement with these institutions. University Technology publishes the latest technology opportunities in one convenient location, meaning investors do not need to trawl through many different university websites to find a commercial opportunity that matches their interests.
You can search from a continually updated portfolio of new technologies arising from research within Scotland’s universities across sectors including life sciences, electronics, energy and renewables, and information and communications.
The site aims to simplify the technology transfer process and make it even easier to work with Scottish universities by providing a set of standardised documents and agreements covering confidentiality, licensing and collaborative development.
New features include a customisable plug-in tool that allows partners or intermediaries to publish the latest technologies from Scotland’s universities on their websites. This useful tool can be set to highlight the latest opportunities from one or more key sectors.
Recent technology opportunities available from Scotland’s universities include a modular reconfigurable robotic system, chemo/anti-cancer therapeutic compounds and optical microfluidic sorting techniques.
You can register to be the first to hear about any new technology opportunities from Scotland’s universities via an e-mail alert. You can also follow @universitytech on Twitter or subscribe to RSS feeds from the site.
