An ambitious Scottish manufacturing company, KDM Shopfitting Ltd, has doubled its manufacturing facility as it moves into bespoke new premises in Dalgety Bay.

The move is expected to lift the company’s turnover to more than £7 million in its first full year in its new premises, an increase of almost 20 per cent.

This announcement comes during a visit by Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Employment and Sustainable Growth, John Swinney on Friday 2 December, as he officially opens the new 15,000 sq feet facility at St Davids Business Park in Dalgety Bay.

KDM Shopfitting produces and installs high quality shopfitting items at a variety of UK businesses, banks, and supermarkets including Tesco Stores, Marks and Spencer, Morrisons, Asda, Makro, HSBC and Tesco Bank.

Scottish Enterprise has been working intensively with KDM Shopfitting Ltd since it was established in 1999 by Iain Jones and Keith MacInnes.

It has seen the company grow from six employees operating from a manufacturing site of just 860 sq ft to now employing around 40 people as well as working with a further 40 fixers and joiners onsite throughout the UK, and owning a new 15,000 sq ft bespoke facility.
