Productivity and performance award for Clansman Dynamics

Date: 01 December 2011

Clansman Dynamics, the East Kilbride robotics specialist, has won the Productivity and Performance Award at the 2011 Philip Baxendale Awards for excellence in mutual and employee ownership.

The company has seen a 45% increase in turnover, a comparable rise in profits and 10% increase in headcount since completing its employee buyout process in 2009, supported by CDS , Scottish Enterprise and Baxi Partnership.

"I firmly believe the move to employee ownership has been excellent for the company" said Financial Director Jim McManus.

"There's more inclusiveness now and through our monthly meetings our employee-owners understand the full impact our sales, profitability and order book have on the future of their company."

The award category aims to showcase the most dramatic and powerful example of an employee owned organisation driving up levels of productivity to deliver improved performance, leading to exemplary outcomes in their field.

The Philip Baxendale Awards are co-sponsored by Baxi Partnership and the Employee Ownership Association.
