Application process
Round 11 of the Proof of Concept Programme is now open. The closing date for receipt of applications is midday on Wednesday 15 October 2008.
Preliminary assessments will be carried out and it is expected that the results will be communicated to applicants during the week commencing 17 November 2008. Short-listed applicants will be invited to attend interview panels in the two weeks commencing 1 December 2008.
Applications should be early-stage ideas which have typically reached patent level, and could lead to the creation of new businesses, or licensing innovative technologies. Successful bidders must demonstrate that their ideas have originality and true commercial potential.

Only proposals which have been approved and endorsed by the Principal/Director of the Institution and the commercialisation office will be considered for funding.
Please note that students are not eligible to apply for Proof of Concept Programme Funding.

Submitting an application
To prepare an application, we recommend that you download the application form template, and work offline until it is complete and fully signed off by your institution. It can then be uploaded to our secure website. Once you have submitted your application form, you will not be able to retrieve it or edit it any further.
You may also upload up to three other documents in addition to your application form. The total length of these additional documents should not exceed the equivalent of six A4 pages. The total size of all of the application documents should not exceed 4Mb.
