Approvals within delegated authority
The following projects were approved within delegated authority during the period 20 November 2005 – 24 January 2006. The details are provided below.
Lena Wilson, Chief Operating Officer granted approval for the following:
Strategic Relationships
Revised approval from £70,000 to £310,000 to cover the Local Skills marketing for LECs in Area 1 for the period 2005-2008.
Revised approval from £80,000 to £310,000 to cover the Local Skills marketing for LECs in Area 2 for the period 2005 – 2008.
Revised approval from £95,000 to £360,000 to cover the Local Skills marketing for LECs in Area 3 for the period 2005 – 2008.
Revised approval from £190,000 to £600,000 to cover a range of Marketing activities to support the delivery of operational targets relating to Modern Apprenticeships.
Revised approval from £415,000 to £2,305,000 to cover a range of National Corporate Marketing activities to support the Careers Scotland Operational Plan
Revised approval from £55,000 to £280,000 to cover a range of Corporate Marketing activities to support the Careers Scotland Operational Plan locally across 2 regions
Revised approval from £65,000 to £265,000 to support the Careers Scotland Operational Plan locally across 2 regions
Skills & Learning
Approval of £680,000 has been granted for a follow-up survey to the Development and Management of National Training Programmes.
Scottish Co-investment Fund Investments over £250,000
I-Design Multi Media Ltd
The Investment Team has approved the sum of £443,003.11 to be invested in I-Design Multi Media Ltd by way of ordinary shares. I-Design sells software packages, in particular for use in displaying adverts on ATMs and also provides ATM adverts media sales agency service to clients.
Rapid Mobile Ltd
The Investment Team has approved the sum of £250,000 to be invested in Rapid Mobile Ltd by way of ordinary shares. Rapid Mobile develops software with application in the mobile gaming, gambling and advertising markets.
