Approvals within delegated authority

The following projects were approved within delegated authority during April/May 2005. The details are provided below.

Legacy Application Support

The Chief Executive approved funding of £2,265,100 to support the ICT Legacy Applications in terms of provision of support, maintenance and enhancements.

KMap Business Information Support Service for 05/06

The Senior Director Operations (West) approved an increase in funding of £250,000 taking the total project costs to £800,000 for an Information and business intelligence system to support key E-Business, Marketing and Scottish Executive broadband projects.

Scottish Technology and Collaboration (STAC) Phase 2

The Senior Director Operations (West) approved an increase in funding of £80,000 taking the total project cost to £410,300. The STAC project supports collaboration involving Scottish software SMEs either with each other or with a larger company. The main aim is the development of new opportunities and the pursuit of new market opportunities.

First and Second Floors, Victory Court, Cartsburn Maritime, Greenock - Proposed Sub-Lease to Scottish Ministers (Procurator Fiscal)

The Senior Director Operations (East), approved the sub-lease of the first and second floors at Victory Court, Cartsburn Maritime, Greenock, under Section 8.1 (g) of the Enterprise & New Towns (Scotland) Act 1990.

The sub-lease is to be granted to the Scottish Ministers (Procurator Fiscal), for a term co-terminous with SE’s head lease (27th February 2019) at a sub rental of £58,000 per annum, exclusive of VAT (£68,150 per annum inclusive of VAT).

STI-MOCT/Bio Talent Poll

The Senior Director, Customer Relations approved funding of £464,000 over 3 years for marketing activities to support the attraction of talent to Scotland to address skills gap issues critical to the growth of electronics and life science industries in Scotland.

Scottish Development in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Marketing

The Senior Director, Customer Relations approved funding of £555,000 over 3 years to support marketing and communications for EMEA.

Corporate Memberships

The Senior Director, Customer Relations approved funding of £681,660 over 3 years for corporate memberships to key organisations as identified as influential in supporting the role of Scottish Enterprise
