Approvals within delegated authority
The following projects were approved within delegated authority during the period 11 May to 14 June. The details are provided below.
Chief Executive Approvals
Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT)
Approval was granted for an extension to the current funding agreement by £239,000 to allow more effective integration between PSYBT and the new set-up for Business Gateway. This raises the value of the current Funding Agreement by 10 per cent, to £2.629 million and represents a four-month extension to the contract.
Managed Security Service SE
An increase in funding of £166,000 was granted for the Managed Security Service to include the following services: Scottish Enterprise Remote Access Service (SE RAS), Business Gateway Remote Access Service (BG RAS) and Careers Scotland loadbalancer maintenance and support. This increases the total funding to £2,177,540.05.
Project Management
Approval was granted for an increase in funding of £500,000 for the Project Management and Business Analysis support for Information Services project delivery. This increases the total funding to £1,750,000.
BT-UK LAN/WAN/Voice
Approval was granted for funding of £1,400,000 for the services leased from BT by Scottish Enterprise for telecoms costs.
Operations
Block 102, Inchinnan Business Park
Approval was granted for the renewal of the existing lease of Block 102, Inchinnan Business Park for £500,000 to Inventec (Scotland) Corp Ltd, a Taiwanese Inward Investment company, for a term of 5 years.
Scottish Property Network
Approval was granted for expenditure of £298,037 towards the Network subscription to Scottish Property Network (SPN) for three years and provision of Research Services for a single year.
