Regional and Industry Advisory Boards
Regional Advisory Boards
We are in the process of establishing five Regional Advisory Boards. They will ensure that the private sector and key stakeholders in specific regions continue to have an influential advisory role in our future strategy for supporting business and economic growth.
Each Regional Advisory Board will be comprised of up to 15 board members, primarily from the private sector. However, local authorities and the higher education sector will also have membership.
Regional Advisory Boards will play an important role in providing the Scottish Enterprise Board with strategic advice on how individual regions can support Scotland’s priority and growth industries and overall economic performance.
Industry Advisory Boards
Building on existing best practice, we plan to strengthen and develop Industry Advisory Boards for each of the priority industries.
These Boards, led by industry leaders, will inform how Scottish Enterprise and other partners can contribute to the growth of their industry, based on real demands and growth potential.
Each Industry Advisory Board will consist of up to 15 board members, including industry representatives, Scottish Enterprise or Scottish Government representatives and a member of a relevant Regional Advisory Board.
Industry Advisory Boards will be responsible for developing robust industry strategies and identifying the roles of the private and public sector in delivering those strategies.
