Edinburgh City Region is one of the best-connected areas of Scotland, with links across the UK and internationally. Since 2000, £130 million has been invested in the area’s transport infrastructure.
There are three major airports in Scotland including Edinburgh International which provides over 50 flights a day to London. In addition to British Airways and bmi, low cost operators fly direct to many European cities from Scotland including Zurich, Amsterdam, Geneva, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan and Barcelona. Edinburgh also offers daily direct flights to New York and Atlanta with Continental and Delta airlines.
