Scotland’s specialist manufacturing companies
Established supply and support network
Three of the world’s top five cell culture media manufacturers are located within a three hour drive of Scotland’s central belt Invitrogen (Scotland), Sigma-Aldrich (Scotland) and Hyclone (Northumberland). This keeps the supply chain short and efficient.
The full spectrum of services and support required by biotechnology companies is well catered for within a relatively compact geographical area providing efficiencies and savings between supplier and manufacturer.
There’s also a strong Contract Services Organisation community. Out of the 26 biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical manufacturers in Scotland, 20 offer GMP contract manufacturing services.
Contract Research Organisations
World class research expertise
