SDS Compliance Service - Lowlands and Uplands
The Compliance Service is responsible for providing a comprehensive monitoring service covering the Training Providers’ compliance with the SDS Programme Rules, which form part of the National Training Programme Contracts managed by the SDS local offices.
The Service provides assurance to the SDS Accounting Officer and SDS Audit Committee on all compliance related matters associated with the specified Training Programmes.
The Service also:
- undertakes Financial Viability assessments prior to re-contracting;
- liaises with Audit Scotland, External and Internal Audit on compliance issues relating to National Training Programmes;
- is alert to the risks and exposures that could allow fraud to occur and as far as possible designs monitoring programmes to address such risks;
- will be subject to independent audit review by internal audit, external audit and Audit Scotland.
