European partners to develop new generation of biomedical lasers
The University of Dundee is leading a team of 18 European partners working to develop a new generation of biomedical lasers.
Backed by a European Commission grant of £8m, the partners will develop lasers that are much smaller and more efficient than the current models, which are not portable and are heavy on energy consumption.

A Glasgow-based technology company has helped airline BMI achieve the industry dream of paperless travel all the way from booking a flight to boarding the aircraft.
While electronics tickets have been a reality for some time, Real Time’s technology allows an airline to send passengers a barcode to their mobile phone or handheld PDA, which then acts as a boarding pass.
