Ambitions that reach from the sea to the sky
Scotland’s aerospace industry makes a significant contribution to the economy with around 170 companies in the aerospace, defence and naval sectors providing employment for more than 16,000 people.

There are 100 companies across Scotland engaged in ship and boat building, with over 5,300 employed in the industry and over 1,500 companies in the supply chain. The Glasgow area is a leading world centre for commercial ship management and it's still growing.
