Approvals within delegated authority
The following projects were approved within delegated authority during the period 24 January – 16 February 2006. The details are provided below.
Proof of Concept Programme
The Chief Executive approved additional funding of £1.5 million secured from Europe to this programme to fund new projects.
Operations - Skills & Learning
Approval for funding of £640,000 was granted to fund employment zone places through the Department of Work and Pensions.
Scottish Co-investment Fund Investments over £250,000
Vermillion Holdings Ltd
The Investment Team has approved the sum of £250,000 to be invested in Vermillion Holdings Ltd by way of ordinary shares. Vermillion supplies clients with reporting software for the financial services industry.
Nandi Proteins Ltd
The Investment Team has approved the sum of £300,000 to be invested in Nandi Proteins Ltd by way of preference shares. Nandi provides research and development of modified proteins for the food and drink industry.
