Institute of System Level Integration (iSLI)
iSLI sits at the critical interface between the academic and commercial engineering worlds. Their mission is to produce highly skilled design engineers and researchers to meet the needs of the rapidly changing global semiconductor industry.

The Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC)
AFRC is a public – private sector partnership designed to drive improvements in performance and profitability of UK Industry. The centre will be part of the University of Strathclyde, building on its 25 years of experience in this field. AFRC will be a beacon for engineering and manufacturing excellence, housed in a high-quality, purpose-built facility designed to reflect the status of this internationally significant service.

The Innotek Centre - Cleanrooms for Growth
The Innotek Centre provides the ideal environment to enable intermediate stage companies requiring cleanroom facilities to grow and flourish. The Centre is housed in a high-quality industrial building in Livingston, Central Scotland, and contains five completely independent units comprising a cleanroom and adjoining office area. The Innotek Centre provides the space and environment to enable technology companies to focus on their core business and grow to the next level.

Scottish Microelectronics Centre (SMC)
SMC is a world class centre for incubation, research and development in the semiconductor sector. A joint venture between the University of Edinburgh and Scottish Enterprise, it provides a dynamic environment that links academia and hi-tech companies. The successful collaboration is at the leading edge of Scotland's semiconductor and MEMS activity. Centre for Engineering Education Development (CeeD)
CeeD was formed to promote world-class performance in the manufacturing and engineering sector in West Central Scotland. This initiative has been developed and is led by a group of engineering companies to promote the interests of the sector.
CeeD provides the infrastructure for sharing the expertise and energies of both SMEs and non SMEs, together with the knowledge and resources of academic institutions.

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Scotland
An alliance of companies, research institutes and Universities currently working in technology areas related to DSP.
In recent year’s indigenous company growth, inward investment and government support of communications has meant that DSP has grown substantially within Scotland. DSP Scotland aims to provide an integration point for the growth of this and related technology sector.

Kelvin Nanotechnology Ltd
Providing nanofabrication solutions to industry and academia delivered through the state of the art James Watt Nanofabrication Centre in Glasgow.
Kelvin Nanotechnology specialise in high resolution, large area, multilevel electron beam lithography for applications such as transistor gate writing, imprint masks, optical elements, photonic crystals, nanotextured surfaces and many more.

PROSPEKT Partnership
A £5 million Scottish Enterprise investment in commercialisation will build on £3.25 million investment from Edinburgh University and will provide:
- a dedicated commercialisation team to pro-actively engage with industry
- refurbishment of two floors of Appleton Tower, providing 1,200 meter squared of commercialisation facilities hosting the above team, and a floor dedicated to industry collaboration
- programmes and activities to encourage entrepreneurship and resultant company formation
- international promotion of the School of Informatics and leverage of its global alumni network.

Scottish Centre for Enabling Technology (SCET)
This project aims to foster effective partnerships between Universities’ existing knowledge base and Scottish SMEs within the creative industries sector. It offers funding for innovative research as well as advice, support and guidance to companies looking to leverage new technologies. The aim of the centre is to increase sustainability and competitive advantage for these SMEs through the use of knowledge transfer.
