Tourism in Scotland
In 2006, over 16 million tourists took overnight trips to Scotland, spending more than £4 billion.
Most tourism trips to Scotland are made by people in the UK, and the USA is our biggest overseas market, accounting for a quarter of spending by overseas visitors.
