The information which you provide on this application form will be held and used by Scottish Enterprise (SE), as data controller.

In order to assess and process your application for an award from the Proof of Concept Programme we may need to share your information with third parties including Government departments and Government agencies and such other named and trusted individuals whose name appears on the list of such advisors which has been sent to the commercialisation office of each Institution.

As part of our assessment of your application, we may also collect information regarding you and your proposal from other sources, including Government departments and Government agencies and such other named and trusted individuals whose name appears on the list of such advisors which has been sent to the commercialisation office of each Institution.

To organise associated mailings, events and activities we may need to share your contact details with third parties including local enterprise companies, strategic partners, professional advisers and business mentors and our agents and representatives. If you do not wish to receive such information regarding future Proof of Concept Programme events, please contact POC.info@scotent.co.uk

These third parties will only be given the information necessary for them to carry out their task and where third parties are involved in assessing your application; these third parties are under an obligation of confidentiality. You will be given the opportunity when completing the application form to decline consent to certain activities and information will not be shared for those purposes where you have not consented to this. SE or any third party may contact you in writing, by email, telephone, fax or in person during the processing of your application and in connection with any associated mailings, events and activities.

Applicants are also required to provide a title and an executive summary of their project. An executive summary for this purpose is taken to be a summary which contains general, non-confidential information outlining the project but which does not prejudice or divulge any of your Intellectual Property Rights. The information you provide should be suitable for the public domain as outlined in the Application Guidelines.

The title, executive summary and any of the contact details of award recipients will be published, upon public announcement of the awards, on the Internet at the following address: www.scottish-enterprise.com/proofofconcept for the purposes of marketing and advertising the project. This website is accessible by the general public and anyone interested in your project may contact award recipients using the contact details provided. If you do not wish SE to publish your contact details on this website upon receipt of an award, please tick the appropriate box in the application form.
