Enterprise Minister Fergus Ewing was given a full insight into Scotland’s dynamic chemicals sector at Edinburgh’s Signet Library.
Chemical Sciences Scotland unveiled their strategy refresh which aims to help grow exports by 50 per cent from £3 billion to £4.5 billion by 2020.
At the same time Sasol Technology unveiled a £1 million investment in its research and development facility at St Andrews, as an example of a sector success story.
Dr Sandy Dobbie, chairman of Chemical Sciences Scotland, also wrote a platform piece for The Scotsman and a blog for the Scottish Government Economics website.
