Scottish Health Innovations Limited
Scottish Health Innovations Limited (SHIL) was established to support the development and commercialisation of innovations arising within the NHS in Scotland. SHIL seeks to identify and develop new technologies which can be exploited through partnerships with the private sector.

Stem Cell Translational Fund
The Stem Cell Translational Fund is available to provide financial support for projects that further the clinical development of regenerative therapies utilising translational stem cell research. This £5million, 5 year fund can provide funding for up to 50 per cent of direct project costs to projects carried out by public sector organisations.
Suitable projects cover activities required to translate stem cell developments into clinical practices and have a clear route to commercialisation which is likely to benefit the Scottish economy.
So far the Stem Cell Translational Fund has announced funding for 3 projects, accounting for £2.1million from SE and with a total project value of £5million. Projects to date have been co funded with the UK Stem Cell Foundation.
