The University of Edinburgh
One of the world's leading medical research universities, the University of Edinburgh brings its School of Medicine and the Queen Mother's Research Institute to the site. It has a dedicated team of technology transfer officers to develop commercialisation opportunities. As technology and medical science converge, it also brings together a range of leading multidisciplinary strengths, including the internationally renowned School of Informatics.

NHS Lothian
The National Health Service for Edinburgh and the Lothians developed the new Royal Infirmary as part of the US $1 billion Centre for Biomedical Research. This 870 bed, state-of-the-art teaching hospital really comes into its own in supporting translational medicine development, and sustains the researcher-clinician focus which drives practical medical innovation and discovery.
