As the internationally recognised home of golf there is vast potential for the sustainable development and growth of Scottish golf tourism. Through a range of projects, we are helping to strengthen industry leadership to encourage collaboration between the many different providers.
Golf Tourism Scotland
Since the launch of Golf Tourism Scotland in 2005, we have been helping this industry-led body build its capacity to assume the role of lead private sector body for Scottish golf tourism by:
- Representing golf tourism and leading the development of overall strategy for the industry
- Developing, co-ordinating and implementing a range of services that will benefit its members
- Driving forward the golf tourism industry in Scotland

National Golf Tourism Monitor
The National Golf Tourism Monitor collects and analyses weekly visitor rounds from courses across Scotland. Detailed information on trends, as well as on seasonal and sectoral patterns of businesses, is presented annually.

The Golf Tourism Monitor is jointly funded by us and VisitScotland to capture trend information on visitor rounds played on golf courses in Scotland.

Club Managers Association of Europe
We facilitated the development of the Scottish Region of the Club Managers Association of Europe. It has a valuable role to play in improving expertise and professionalism at Scottish clubs to help secure benefits for golf tourism in Scotland.
