  • Online/website or provided directly, sometimes via a third party

The purpose for processing

Graduates/students

SE will need to process your personal information in the following situations:

  • To enable you to apply for graduate/student placement opportunities via the ScotGrad website
  • To enable the ScotGrad system to automatically assess your information for eligibility to participate in the ScotGrad programme, against the criteria set out on the ScotGrad website
  • To allow interested companies to shortlist applications and assess for placement suitability
  • To correspond with you to advise on status of application
  • To enable us to meet reporting requirements
  • To provide successful candidates with “welcome packs” and to correspond with them throughout the duration of their placement
  • To allow companies to claim grant funding towards a ScotGrad graduate salary

Companies

As a company, SE will need to process your personal information in the following situations:

  • To enable a company to use a principal point of contact to register and upload placement information
  • To enable ScotGrad to engage with the company’s principal point of contact and others during the recruitment and selection process and provide support
  • To allow companies to claim grant funding towards a ScotGrad graduate salary

Lawful grounds

Where you provide your personal information to the ScotGrad website, we will ask for your consent to process it for the purposes set out above. In some instances, we will use automatic means to process your personal information for assessing your eligibility for the ScotGrad programme. We will let you know when this will happen. Where a decision has been made using automated means, you have the right to have that decision reviewed by a human.
