The light shines on Scotland for Employee Ownership Day
Did you know Employee Ownership (EO) Day is on Friday 1 July?
Launched by the Employee Ownership Association (EOA) in 2013, EO Day is a national celebration of the benefits of employee ownership with the aim of raising awareness about the positive impact employee owned businesses have on the UK economy.
This year, Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) is celebrating EO Day by hosting a webinar.
You'll get the chance to hear about one of Scotland's most recent employee ownership success stories.
We'll be joined by Gavin Stewart, founder and managing director of Edinburgh-based lighting company Black Light.
Gavin will talk about why he chose employee ownership, the process he followed and how the employee ownership structure will work for Black Light.
Carole Leslie of CDS will also be on hand to explain how she supported Black Light and many other companies on their employee ownership journey.
This will be an interactive webinar so you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and to find out more about what employee ownership could mean for your company.
