CapGemini are creating 500 IT jobs in the Scottish Highlands - with support from Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).

Supporting CapGemini's expansion

CapGemini has enjoyed a long relationship with Scotland - and with Scottish Enterprise and our partners.

To support the company's expansion in Inverness we were able to provide £4.25 million in Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) funding

RSA funding is available for domestic companies and inward investors and is aimed at safeguarding or creating jobs.

Each year we provide millions of pounds in RSA funding to companies across Scotland, securing hundreds of jobs and supporting our aim to ensure our economy remains globally competitive.

Our partners, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, were also on hand to support CapGemini by providing £1 million of funding to support staff training.

CapGemini in Scotland

CapGemini already employs almost 1000 people in Scotland at bases in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness and Nairn.

The company will now seek to recruit people with IT experience, graduates in all subjects keen to work in technology and school-leavers interested in joining its new Highlands Apprenticeship Programme.

The company also plans to talk to undergraduates considering an IT career, and is establishing especially strong links with the University of the Highlands and Islands in Inverness.
