Getting started on Etsy UK

Etsy is an online marketplace for craft and handmade items. It was established in 2005 and it’s now a global marketplace.

As a seller, you can set up an Etsy store. And if you opt into international shipping, you would be visible to buyers worldwide.

Etsy is predominately a Business-to-consumer (B2C) marketplace but it does allow sellers to offer items on a wholesale basis. Fees are paid on a per listing basis. You’ll also pay a percentage commission per sale.

Subscriptions and fees

As a seller on Etsy, you must pay a publication fee of £0.16 per listing, plus commission of 5%.
