We’re hiring an Engagement Partner to help manage our transparency agenda and promote the role played by SE in supporting inclusive economic growth in Scotland.

The difference you'll make

As part of our experienced communications team, you’ll lead the team’s efforts on managing SE’s transparency agenda including the effective management of complex data, both proactively published and released in response to freedom of information enquiries, as well as responding to media requests.

You will seek to raise awareness of SE and support the organisation’s corporate reputation with key audiences across media, government, parliament and partner organisations.

You’ll be a key contact for incoming freedom of information enquiries – and, working with team members, will manage the organisation’s response with clear and concise communication within set statutory deadlines.

Developing relationships with media, partners, government and parliament will be a crucial part of the role.

You’ll have several years’ experience in corporate communications, stakeholder engagement or public affairs.
You will have demonstrable experience of FOISA having worked in, or with, Scottish or UK government, managing the release of complex data.

You’ll have experience of working in a busy organisation, to tight deadlines, and will work proactively as part of a team.

Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of SE’s key stakeholders, a passion for media relations and also a good understanding of parliament and the opportunities and challenges facing the Scottish economy.

You can be based at any of our offices in Scotland and some out of hours work will be required.
