Scottish Enterprise is committed to growing the Scottish economy for the benefit of all, creating more quality jobs and a brighter future in every region.

We’re implementing an ambitious transformation programme to deliver more services digitally, make it easier for customers to do business with us and create greater economic impact. And we’re hiring an operations specialist to oversee the governance of such projects.

The difference you'll make

You’ll support the governance, financial reporting and reconciliation of Data, Digital and IT (DDIT) budgets across related programmes – from their definition and approval through to delivery and closure. You’ll help oversee risk management, contracts, budgets, and change and procurement of external resources.

Working with team leads and other senior stakeholders across multi-disciplinary projects, you’ll support the priorities of programmes across DDIT. You’ll help product owners set-up the right project and contract management practices to support their delivery methodologies, while making sure all documentation is up-to-date and audit compliant.

You’ll manage budget and spending on DDIT programmes, undertaking monthly reviews of purchase orders and invoicing to make sure our spending plans remain on track, and that we effectively report on them.

The qualities you'll bring

You’ll need to have a good understanding of financial processes and controls, particularly around purchasing and invoicing. You’ll also need experience of procurement processes and financial systems, preferably using a purchase order system like Procure2Pay, or something similar.
