Scottish Enterprise (SE) is Scotland’s national economic development agency. We help Scottish businesses to grow nationally and internationally, to become more efficient and innovative, and to access the funds they need to develop. We also attract overseas companies to invest in Scotland.

The difference you'll make

As part of the Workplace Innovation team, you will support Scottish companies to change the nature of their workplace and the work they offer. Your guidance will help them to create more engaging, creative and innovative organisations that are great places to work and provide opportunities for a diverse range of employees.

You’ll help these companies to develop their strategic thinking in relation to people, organisational development and Fair Work and create structured action plans linked to business objectives. You will also encourage them to plan for growth by improving links between key skills and growth drivers like investments in technology and infrastructure. This may involve leadership coaching, management training, succession planning and much more.

This is a strategic customer facing role, working with business owners and managers. Based in Edinburgh or Stirling, you’ll travel to meet clients at their location, so access to a car is essential.

The qualities you'll bring

You’ll probably be educated to degree level, or have an equivalent business qualification like CIPD. Whatever your academic achievements, they’ll be backed up by practical experience. You might currently be working in an HR role or as a consultant – either way, you will understand key organisational development issues and how they can support business growth.

Your organisational change experience means you’ll be comfortable delivering strategic support to businesses and helping them develop and implement robust action plans.

A natural team player, you’ll be a good communicator and networker. You will also be confident working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and dealing with clients at the highest level in their organisation.

1st stage interviews will be held on 3 and 5 February 2020

2nd stage interviews will be held on 17 and 18 February 2020
