Join Scottish Enterprise’s newly created Digital Factory team and learn new skills on a wide variety of projects. In this role, you’ll work with us to transform the way Scottish Enterprise and partners deliver their services.
The role
As a Power Platform Developer, you’ll join a talented team responsible for management, administration and software development within our tenancy. Bespoke Power Apps development is a new addition to Scottish Enterprise, so you’ll help shape this capability and be at the forefront of digital transformation within our company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical subject matter expertise and making sure the solution design process addresses the needs of the business.
- Developing, customising and configuring solutions using Power Platform components that align with our strategy and principles – this will include the use of Dynamics 365.
- Working closely with other functions across Digital Factory and Digital, Data and Information Technologies (DDIT) to keep system integrations secure and stable, and resolve service management issues quickly.
Who we're looking for
You’re a highly motivated and experienced Microsoft Power Platform developer with a passion for producing well designed, secure, and robust solutions that meet industry architectural standards.
Upskilling and training opportunities will be provided if needed, but the job will involve development for our existing Dynamics CRM product, so knowledge and hands-on experience with MS Dynamics is essential.
You’ll challenge thinking and use your highly developed communication skills to influence and persuade to achieve the best outcomes.
Your skills, abilities and experience should include:
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise level applications built using Power Platform components. For example, Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Tools, Power BI, SharePoint, Dataverse, Custom Connectors, and Dynamics 365.
- An understanding of SOA and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of management and administration practices for Power Platform environments and their solutions.
- Experience with iterative software development and an understanding of application lifecycle management.
- An ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- An ability to act as an SME in Power Platform development.
Ideally, but not essentially, you’ll also have:
- Familiarity with Power Pages development.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
- JavaScript front end and C# Plugin Development.
- Experience using XRM ToolBox.
- Experience using bespoke Microsoft Azure cloud services such as Logic Apps and Function Apps.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps.
