EU funding for research and innovation

What's involved?

Transnational collaboration will be essential to successful projects. Being part of a project funded through Horizon 2020 will provide an effective way of enhancing the commercial success of your business. Your organisation will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain from being a partner in a project that, if successful, will deliver a significantly innovative product or service
  • Engage with EU and worldwide leading players and industry networks within your field through a project consortium
  • Nurture business relationships and encourage pan-European networking
  • Access leading-edge technology and share expertise

Participants may be eligible to receive up to 100 percent reimbursement of research and innovation costs. There will be opportunities for companies of all sizes, as project leaders or partners. The technical aspects of the projects demand that innovation is significantly in advance of state of the art – the products and services of tomorrow.

Applicants must respond to specific calls for proposals that are launched annually. All information about the calls for proposals and the Programme are available via the European Commission Participant Portal.
