Offshore Europe 2021

Take part in Offshore Europe, Europe’s largest exhibition for the development of offshore resources. It has an important role to play in the transition to the low carbon economy.

The organisers of SPE Offshore Europe 2021 have announced that the show will now run virtually from 7-10 September 2021.

The face-to-face event is moving to 1-4 February 2022 at P&J Live, Aberdeen. 

The virtual conference in September will include:

  • opening ceremony
  • plenary panel
  • keynote and technical sessions

The live event in February will include:

  • an in-person socially distanced exhibition
  • new energy transition keynote conference content
  • show floor features including Energy Transition Zone and Theatre, Decommissioning Theatre
  • a TIDE (talent investment & diversity) programme
  • networking events

The SPE Offshore Europe Conference & Exhibition is Europe's largest event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection.

It will showcase and share best practice with the aim of bringing together new and innovative ways to bring the upstream industry closer to a net zero economy.

Since 1973, Offshore Europe has been staged biennially in Aberdeen alternating with the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) exhibition and conference that takes place in Stavanger, Norway.

Offshore Europe 2022 will attract a global audience of engineers, technical specialists, industry leaders and experts and will be held in the Aberdeen’s state-of-the-art event complex – the P&J Live.

As the global events industry begins to recover from the current Covid-19 global pandemic we anticipate that interest (and opportunities) at OE 2021 and OE2022 is expected to remain high.

Mandatory eligibility criteria for February 2022

The Scotland Pavilion at Offshore Europe will exclusively focus on energy transition. To qualify for space on the Scottish Pavilion or participate in the Scotland programme, applicants will be required to:

  • Demonstrate an ability and/or aspiration to contribute to Scotland’s transition to net zero and articulate it within their formal application
  • Be able to transpose their ability and/or aspirations into any marketing or promotional messaging which they intend to utilise on the Scotland Pavilion or for any part of the Scotland programme at Offshore Europe

Scottish academic institutions meeting the criteria above will also be considered.

Scottish Pavilion

The Scotland Pavilion will be located at the front of Hall 2 near the entrance and registration areas. Block 2K20 will have some Booth space and 2 meeting rooms. Block 2L20 will have lounge space, and the remaining three blocks are being made available for exhibition and pod space. In addition to securing a presence in a prime location, you will have access to:

  • A number of international delegations from across the energy sector; Covid-19 travel restrictions dependent
  • Surrounding events such as the coronavirus friendly Scottish Pavilion reception, with more to be confirmed
  • Support from an experienced team, including international representation from Scottish Development International field offices and members of the GlobalScots network


Exhibition space - £700 per square meter

Pod space - £3,000

Visitor Package - £750

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added at time of contracting.

A full refund will be provided if the show is cancelled as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
