Securing growth capital is critical to the success of our businesses. SIB aims to increase the supply of finance, and to help more Scottish SMEs with growth and export potential access it.

Our activities support the delivery of the wider Scottish Enterprise business plan by stimulating the SME funding market in Scotland. We work with both Scottish SMEs and UK and international investors to stimulate deal flow in Scotland.

This represents a five-year growth of 90 per cent and is approaching the highest ever level of £250 million since 2001, when Scottish Enterprise first undertook this analysis.
