Selling on the Amazon UK online marketplace

Getting started on Amazon UK

Amazon is the world's largest online marketplace. It operates in multiple markets worldwide.

Amazon UK enables sellers to use the European Fulfilment programme where sellers can sell in 4 other European markets (France, Germany, Spain, Italy) on a single UK account. Around 90% of the UK's online shoppers have made a purchase on Amazon.

As a seller, you’ll pay a monthly subscription fee. For an additional fee, you can also have your order logistics (warehouse storage, packing, delivery) fulfilled by Amazon. Amazon operates as a catalogue system with multiple sellers for different products.

So, brand owners can perform well by setting up their own account with no re-sellers. Amazon is available in most countries worldwide, and each market has various different set up processes. In the case of Amazon UK - you can operate into Europe through the UK platform.
