This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to take their first steps in a rewarding career with a renowned organisation.
The role
The Accounting Services team is responsible for all aspects of external financial reporting. This includes our annual report, accounts, statutory tax returns and reporting to the Scottish Government. - Working with external auditors to provide supplementary information and responding to queries so that audit clearance is achieved on time
- Preparing and filing corporation tax computations and VAT returns. These include working with external tax advisers to ensure statutory returns are prepared and filed. You will also advise colleagues on the tax consequences of transactions and projects.
- Providing financial advice to colleagues across Scottish Enterprise, including overseas field office operations. These include compliance support for accounting policies, regulatory compliance and project development.
- Acting as an authorised bank signatory to approve payments made online
- Providing financial reports and analysis to support outturn reporting to the Scottish Government
- Managing Scottish Enterprise’s annual cash allocation, including grant-in-aid funds
