The difference you’ll make
Scottish Investment Bank (SIB) is the investment arm of Scottish Enterprise, and one of Scotland’s most active organisations in the risk capital marketplace. This compliance and risk management role will give you exposure to a wide range of deals across various industries. You’ll provide advice and guidance to your colleagues, and liaise with relevant Scottish Government departments. As part of a small, specialist team you’ll:
- Make sure we correctly follow our own compliance policies and risk management procedures
- Audit test our business activities, and make recommendations where appropriate
- Review SIB’s regulatory obligations and our internal processes and procedures, and document our investment decisions
Your skills and experience will help us deliver a first-class professional service that combines best practice from the public and private sectors.
The qualities you’ll bring
You’ll have a relevant audit or accounting qualification, or you’ll be an investment professional with experience in compliance, risk management and financial services. You’ll be able to understand our own governance structure and how this fits with wider national and European regulations, and apply this knowledge to make sure that our business activities are fully compliant.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where your communication and organisational skills will be put to good use.
