From Argyll to the global circuit, Midton Acrylic engineers with manufacturing precision and circular innovation - accelerating its exports at a world‑class pace.

Midton Acrylics has become one of Scotland’s most innovative materials‑led manufacturers, exporting more than £3 million of its products across Europe, the US, and Canada.

It has become both a producer and winner of awards at the same time.

Midton produces bespoke acrylic products - mainly trophies for world‑renowned brands that operate in the events space. These include high‑end awards as well as lighting, physical marketing pieces, and custom embedments at a large scale.

Embedments are objects, materials, text, or images that are integrated into the body of a trophy or award, rather than just engraved on the surface.

A global vision from Scotland

For more than two decades, Midton has established itself as one of Scotland’s most innovative advanced‑manufacturing companies.

The innovator has evolved from a specialist maker of acrylic products into a globally recognised, materials‑driven manufacturer, working at the intersection of design, engineering, and science.

From its Argyll base, the manufacturer is now aiming for a £5 million turnover, powered by circular design, technical expertise and bold international ambition.

A full‑spectrum manufacturing capability

The firm's capability stretches far beyond traditional craft manufacturing. It blends 3D design and printing technologies with chemistry, tooling, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining, thermal behaviour testing and engineering design. This science‑and‑tech‑driven approach gives Midton a competitive edge with few rival companies specialising in this area.

This is why global clients from luxury brands to major corporate partners trust Midton with complex, precision work. Midton designs for manufacture, considering tooling, logistics, repeatability and compliance from the outset. As a result, the company has earned a reputation for delivering consistently at international standards.

Backing ambition and internationalisation

The company’s roots in rural Scotland play a major role in its success. Long-term staff retention, including some team members with more than 30 years’ experience, has created a stable base of deep technical expertise. Midton has also invested heavily in local talent, equipment and facilities, emphasising Scotland as a competitive home for advanced manufacturing.

Scottish Enterprise has played a significant role in its international journey, providing both technical export guidance and practical support at key stages of its growth.
