Aberdeenshire Council supports a sustainable, innovation-driven economy in north-east Scotland. Key teams in its Economic Development service deliver Business Gateway for Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City, supporting start-up, growing, and established businesses.

Invest Aberdeen is an inward investment hub and touchpoint for business opportunities. The Employment Support team coordinates the Aberdeenshire Employability Partnership, helping people get work and training. The External Funding team manages funding, the Industry Support team supports key sectors, and the Place team works with local communities.

Across the council, teams support licensing, planning, commercial property, trading standards, environmental health services, and more. Aberdeenshire Council also works with partners to provide economic support.
