Scottish Fair Trade supports start-ups and scaling businesses in Scotland to develop ethical supply chains and responsible approaches to sourcing and procurement. It works with early-stage and growing businesses, including social enterprises and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly where products or services involve global supply chains.

Its support helps businesses turn ethical and sustainability commitments into practical and commercial outcomes. This includes advice on ethical sourcing and supply chain risk, alongside guidance on Fair Trade principles such as climate action and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. It also provides signposting on relevant verification and certification systems and connect businesses to specialist support where appropriate.

There are no formal eligibility criteria, but its services are most relevant to organisations committed to ethical trade, sustainability and positive global impact.
