The Data Lab

The Data Lab, Scotland’s innovation centre for data and AI, is hosted by the University of Edinburgh and funded through the Scottish Funding Council’s National Innovation Centre Programme. With hubs in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen, it fosters collaboration to build skills, grow talent, and support Scotland’s data and AI community.

It supports entrepreneurs and founders through platforms like the Data Lab Community, Funding Finder, and online courses. The Data Lab also connects businesses and start-ups with academic expertise across Scotland for collaborative innovation.
