Forth Green Freeport (FGF)

Forth Green Freeport is an economic regeneration programme spanning 25 years, over 500 hectares across Fife, Falkirk and Edinburgh and bringing together the ports of Grangemouth, Leith, Rosyth and Burntisland alongside Edinburgh Airport. 

Forth Green Freeport aims to drive regeneration and job creation, support decarbonisation and a just transition to Net Zero, strengthen global trade, and foster innovation. FGF is projected to drive up to £7.9 billion of private and public investment, deliver gross value added of estimated £8.1 billion and create up to 16,000 direct jobs.

Forth Green Freeport creates a platform for collaboration across industry, academia, government, infrastructure, and investment partners, enabling large-scale delivery of low-carbon solutions. These include:
